Configuring E-Mail Marketing

Intershop Commerce Management supports a newsletter subscription service for distributing newsletters or other marketing messages to configurable groups of recipients. E-mail addresses of customers subscribed to the newsletter are saved in the database and can be exported and handed over to an external newsletter tool.

To set the preferences for the newsletter subscription service:

  1. Select the management context from the context selection box, then select Preferences.
    This displays the Preferences overview page.
  2. Select E-mail Marketing.
  3. Edit the settings as needed.
    The available options are described in the following table.

    Name Description
    E-mail Marketing Provider Specifies the e-mail marketing provider to use. Custom providers can be implemented on request. By default, None is preselected, disabling the newsletter subscription service.
    Link to Provider Tool Specifies the URL of the e-mail marketing administration frontend. Contact your system administrator for details.
    Abandoned Basket Timeout Specifies the basket age (in hours) that flags a basket as abandoned. This age is required to be smaller than the basket history lifetime.
  4. Click Apply to save your settings.
    Otherwise, click Reset to discard your changes.
